Although the experiments studied were exceptional in the case of Chile (a few built cases comparing to other systems of the SCEE), they belong to a constellation of other international explorations (CLASP in USA – prominent in Triennale di Milano in 1960, SCSD in Stanford, UK) in which the relationship between institution, economic systems, territory and building shared common means.
How the typological experiment, on the one hand, and the political project, on the other, were defined? Were they in agreement? To what degree does the typological experiment rely on the political project? Why was this experimental project abandoned? Was architecture, the institutions, or both to blame? To what extent these buildings actually became public infrastructures for their cities beyond their school programme?

Los experimentos estudiados, si bien fueron excepcionales en el caso de Chile (pocos casos construidos en comparación a otros sistemas), pertenecen a una constelación de exploraciones internacionales (CLASP en USA – prominente en la Triennale di Milano de 1960, SCSD en Stanford, UK) en los cuales la relación entre institución, sistema económico, territorio y edificio compartían medios similares.
¿Cómo se definía, por un lado, el experimento tipológico y, por el otro, el proyecto político? ¿Son coincidentes? ¿Hasta qué grado el experimento tipológico depende del proyecto político? ¿Por qué el proyecto de estos experimentos fue abandonado? ¿Que falló? ¿Fue la arquitectura, la institución o ambas? ¿En que medida estos edificios se transformaron en infraestructuras publicas para sus ciudades?
